Enjoying beautiful views to the Lakeland Fells, Westcroft is a spacious 3 bedroom bungalow situated in the peaceful village of Mawbray, ¼ mile from the beach and the stunning Solway Coast. ( “Solway” meaning way of the sun).
Mawbray lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty between the attractive towns of Silloth and Maryport, with miles of sand and shingle beaches and memorable sunsets. Rock pools, sea angling, windsurfing, sailing and swimming can all be enjoyed.
Mawbray Banks offer extensive sand dunes which are ideal for dog walking, bird watching and family recreation.
Mawbray has a children’s play area on the village green. The picturesque seaside village of Allonby is 3 miles away, with shops, post office, swimming pool/leisure centre, pubs and cafes.
The charming Victorian town of Silloth is 10 minutes away by car whilst the fishing harbour of Maryport, with its marina, aquarium and ‘Wave Centre’, is 15 minutes by car.
The Cumbrian coastal path runs between the two towns, with a cycle path between Maryport and Allonby, for those who want to enjoy the freedom of the Solway at its best. The area boasts several golf courses, whilst the Lake District is a 45 minute drive.
